You could say I’m constantly on a search for little moments to capture. Like sketching out a memory and putting it in a frame to look at again and again. Daily life is full of the mundane of course, but woven in are light spots of excitement or adventure or peacefulness, and I like to find them.

I consider myself to be a collector of happy things, always taking pictures of views and spaces and saving them as references for later. In my work I like to use a lot of bright colors, layering them up until they become recognizable scenes. I’m always especially drawn in by houses and windows, unique buildings with lots of lines, and the way light emphasizes textures and creates moods.

My aim is to examine the brightness and curiosity I see. I want to take my paints and pastels andcapture life’s cheerfulness with color.
